ABOUT CIM PROGRAM

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is the largest, longest established and most respected United Kingdom-based professional marketing body in the world, representing the members and industry for more than 100 years. CIM has the unique ability to confer Chartered Marketer status to deserving holders, in recognition of achievement in theory, practical experience and expertise. It’s the highest accreditation that one can be awarded. Currently CIM has close to 30,000 members worldwide with about 14,000 studying members. CIM offers a range of marketing qualifications to suit all levels; from junior marketers at the outset of their careers, right through to those at board or senior strategic levels.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Level 4 Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing
  • • CIM Level 3 Introductory Certificate or Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing/Digital Marketing;
  • • Any relevant Level 3 qualification;
  • • Any Bachelor’s Degree;
  • • Professional practice (suggested one year in a marketing role);
  • • Diagnostic assessment onto Level 4;
  • • English language qualification if English is not your first language.
Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing
OR
Level 6 Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing
  • • CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing/Digital Marketing;
  • • Any relevant Level 4 qualification;
  • • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least one third of credits coming from marketing content;
  • • Professional practice (suggested two years marketing in an operational role);
  • • Diagnostic assessment onto Level 6;
  • • English language qualification if English is not your first language.
* Students are required to provide Noesis a copy of their diagnostic test result as part of the registration process.

PRACTICAL WORK EXPERIENCE

To become a Chartered Marketer you must:

  • • Become a Graded Member: upon completion of Level 6, a student can apply for an ACIM (Associate) which is a Graded Membership;
  • • Complete 2 consecutive years of Continuing Professional Development; and
  • • Pass the Chartered Assessment

Once you have met these criteria, you will be awarded Chartered Marketer status.
