CIMA Programme Structure
PRACTICAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Total of 3 years’ working experience in below competency framework.
August – May

This is first level of the professional qualification. You will learn how to:
- • Prepare financial statements.
- • Provide management accounting information.
- • Use appropriate tools for decision making through a broad understanding of business.
After successfully completing this level, you will receive the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting.
This is the second level of the professional qualification and consists of three exams. You will learn how to:
- • Prepare group accounts.
- • Make pricing and product decisions based on a robust analysis.
- • Manage projects and relationships.
On completion, you receive the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
This is the third and final level of the professional qualification and consists of three exams. You will learn how to formulate financial strategy and manage strategic relationships while managing risk, using the competencies gained at operational and management levels.

Dr. Yee Wee Chun
Assoc CIPD, DBA (Northumbria), MBA (Duke), BA (Econs, Virginia)
Wee Chun started his career as a Financial Analyst at General Electric under the prestigious Financial Management Program in the US. After his MBA , he joined the Boston Consulting Group in Southeast Asia and worked with many Government Linked Companies. Wee Chun was Chief Executive and of Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) education arm before founding Noesis in 2009. His doctoral research is in strategic management. He has also vast experience giving seminars on Strategy and Leadership to Accountants and Academics. He was also awarded the Dean’s Recognition award at Duke University and graduated with High Distinction at University of Virginia. Wee Chun is a triathlete having completed Austria Ironman in 2014.
Dr. Christine Yap Yee Ming
CA (M), PhD (UPM), Msc (NUS), FCCA (ACCA)
Christine has 14 years teaching experience in bachelor degrees and professional studies such as CPA Australia, CFA and CIMA. Christine has 13 years industrial work experience includes positions as finance manager and accounting manager in foreign MNC. Christine’s expertise is Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Strategic Management Accounting. Christine’s research areas are management accounting practices and the role of accountants.

Charter Marketer, BSc Hon. (Comp & Info Sys, Sunway), MSP® Practitioner, PRINCE2® Practitioner
Kelvin has over 13 years of combined working experience over 3 years lecturing for The Sunway Group and just over 11 years in the FMCG industry with British American Tobacco (BAT). He is currently holding the full-time position of Global Project Delivery Manager, based in Malaysia. Kelvin has extensive exposure to diverse cultures, gained in over 8 years of “globe-trotting” Americas, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia Pacific. He has previously held senior positions as BAT France (Acting) Head of IT, BAT Caucasus & Central Asia Area Heat of IT, and a member of the BAT Kazakhstan Leadership Team. He currently lecture a part-time on CIM & CIMA professional programs at Noesis.
Sum Heng Nin
(Senior Associate Lecturer)
CA(M), FCMA, CGMA, MBA
Sum Heng Nin is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). With his vast experience, both in the commercial and education sector, he specializes in Finance and Strategic Management. He is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), a capacity to advise corporate bodies globally on organizational strategic issues; a prestigious recognition by the AICPA and CIMA. He also earned his Masters of Business Administration majoring in Finance from the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Sum is also a PSMB (HRDF) certified trainer. Besides, Sum has vast experience in international education collaboration and had previously extended his lectures on a visiting basis in Indonesia.
